Yoshi's Island.
Anyone who's played it knows it's better than Mario.
That game is the stuff. I meant it's good Super Mario RPG for SNES would have to be one of my favorites. Not sure about freeware though.

List your favorite childhood games! You can also look them up on google, who knows maybe you can replay some of them if they're the old PC games

For me, a few I remember very clearly were:

- Commander Keen series (freeware now :D)
- Frogger
- DooM (still not freeware forget you ID)
- Jetpack (yeah that's right, motherloving jetpack, also freeware)
- Scorched earth (freeware)
- One Must Fall

holy stuff scorched earth? i loving love the 3-d version of that game!

Doom is free on the browser, but you dont get the same feeling for it

some really crap frogger 3d thing on win98

Starfox 64 (Lylatwars over here due to some wierd copyright stuff)

i have the ORIGIONAL commander keen and wolfinstein on floppy discs, also doom and duke nukem 3d somewhere

Must I say this again?

One fourth of my childhood.

Also lego island and yoshi's island.

Twinsen's Oddyssey

Beat me to it!
Some one said oddworld already as well!
At least no one said tanktics or else I wouldn't have had any thing to contribute here.

Duke Nukem is amazing. I remember playing Time to Kill and Duke Nukem 64 back in the day.

The Phantasy Star games. While the online versions are relatively new, the original series for Genesis and Master System was epic.

Gyromite. 'nuff said.

Adventure Island and the one where you're this mouse running away from police cats or something.
Other way around, Mappy.
