Why wouldn't you want to attack the larger market?
I mean, isn't that going to get you more of a turn out?
Though really, what are these virus makers even attempting to do when they create viruses. I don't see how anyone can get joy out of ruining other people's things. I can see the whole stealing personal information part, but if they've got 20,000 or more credit cards coming in at once, I mean, what would you do with all of that? You'd only use a few at a time, and if you did that'd likely up your chances of being detected.
I never understood it. People make a virus that effects your computer, just for the hell of it. I think a better punishment for these guys would to be, when they're found (if they're ever found), use a government super computer to design a virus that no normal hacker can destroy, and then have it whipe those people's devices clean. Have it spread throughout the network so wifi devices and other computers in the house feel the sting too. Maybe it'll make them stop doing that to other people.
