Okay, so I noticed that I could go to the scrapyard to get a trusty companion called Dogmeat.

Should I? Because I heard he can find ammo, fight enemies, and some other crap I really don't care about.

1. Should I get him?

2. Where's the scrapyard? I found it before but started a new game.

Also i dont use him much because he can die easy i only use Fawkes because he is powerful and got very much life.
On the other side Dogmeat can find items for you like:
Weapons,Ammo,Food,Medicine.

I take him to my house in Megaton, leave him there, and drop Murlock meat by him on a plate (like food) :3

Dogmeat is annoying. He runs off when ever there's an enemy then gets his ass handed to him.

No, I was placing the observer pod in the spawning pod for that one book, and all of the sudden it says "Dogmeat has died" and im like "God damnit."

You can get a mod that makes hired goons and dog meat where the become 'unconscious' instead of dead

When I went to the destroyed city with Fire Ants (hence the name)Dogmeat,under intense fire,beat like 5 soldiers then died

I sent Dogmeat to go find ammo and he didn't show up for 3 days in game. Useful, I don't know.
