someone replace that with a C :3

Edit: actually I don't think a C would stand out very good in a circle.

Yeah it ether a hoax or you have to be handicaply dumb enough to download the virus, more then likely its a hoax to make people panic, or even a Anti-virus scam to make people buy more anti-viruses.

How to tell if your system is infected

Symptoms of Conficker infection include the following:

    * Access to security-related sites is blocked
    * Users are locked out of the directory
    * Traffic is sent through port 445 on non-Directory Service (DS) servers
    * Access to admininistrator shared drives is denied
    * Autorun.inf files are placed in the recycled directory, or trash bin

TOO BAD!
GET TO THE COPPA ANYWAYS!

The fact that everyone is panicking about this could be the April Fools joke itself. The majority of people who get viruses are users who go to sketchy sites and download stuff from sketchy sources, or are just stupid users in general.

I have a backup of my data on an external hard drive. If I lose my data, I just restore from an image. If that image is infected, I can wait until they can remove the virus and do so to the drive from another computer. So I'm not exactly concerned.

OOOOH forget WE'RE forgetED.

IN THE ASS.

Go start task manager, then click on processes and end the ones that say Host.exe

Or go to micrsoft.com and see if it works, if it doesn't you have the virus
If that microsoft.com thing is true, then I'm fricken happy and relieved.

Yes. In addition to the fact that I just found out that I must not have the infamous conficker.c virus, I also found out that I can try Office 2007 free for 60 days.

What a joyous occasion.

I got open office, I is free and is lacking in the annoying paperclip guy.

Lets throw a party and laugh at those nubs who got the panda.

Maybe it's just me, but I'm excited to see what actually happens with this tomorrow. :cookieMonster:

That's never happened to me. I've also never gotten a BSOD since windows '98. I must be lucky.
