Author Topic: Good virus protector program?  (Read 1683 times)

I'm looking for a good, free program to warn about viruses and whatnot. I currently don't have one, and I'm feeling a bit worried about that whatever the forget virus that's said to go active tomorrow.

CC it's okay; my semen protects you from any virus possible. Also, the mugshots of the chick that vince beat up were horrible :o

Also I had a trial thing but it ran out.

Trend Micro Housecall supposedly finds out if Conficker is on your system, other Trend Micro stuff is the best I know. Unfortunately, most of it costs money.

If your main concern is the Conflicker virus:
A lot of people are saying that this is just a hoax, but if you're unsure, and wish to download some protection, I found a few links to programs that will remove the virus:

Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AD724AE0-E72D-4F54-9AB3-75B8EB148356&displaylang=en

F-Secure removal utility: ftp://193.110.109.53/anti-virus/tools/beta/f-downadup.zip

McAfee's removal tool: http://67.97.80.71/vil/conficker_stinger/Stinger_Coficker.exe

I beat you tails. :D

Avast!
I'll use that, thanks.
If your main concern is the Conflicker virus:
It isn't my main concern, just worried about virus protecting in general.

McAfee is an antivirus? I thought it just puts annoying ads on the lowerright side of the screen every 5 minutes.
