Author Topic: Damagable Vehicles?  (Read 1158 times)

I was pondering if Damagable Vehicles are possible to make.
(Exp: You crash into a wall and your Vehicle recives a dent. Or looses a peice of framework. If you play motorstorm, or have, there is the basic IDEA.)

it'd need a really specialised model made for it and wouldn't work with all vehicles

the file would be massive

the file would be massive
but take into consideration that lots of people would want it.

true,it would be cool, but do you have the slightest idea how long the script would be,and how many .dts files it would have??

What if instead you hit another vehicle or a brick wall, etc at HIGH speeds that the car would be damaged as in HP wise. It'd be great for 'Monster Truck' durbys.

Off topic:I thought you were talking about a vehicle that can be destroyed I was like 'WHAT?!?!?'
On topic:the script, and size would be MASSIVE

Couldn't you just not make different models for EVERY possible collision, and just make it so that as its health went progressively closer to zero, it would deform along a set string of dented, beat-up, and general old-broken-down-rusted-out-stuffbox models? It could help reduce the file size. I just thought of it, and decided to post.

That's kind of where the massive file sizes come from.

Ephialtes made the Stunt Plane in his server get damaged from collisions ages ago. If you flew too fast into something it blew up. It was pretty fun.
