Bah, I hate these half-assed "free" fpses that actually require you to pay real cash to get anywhere in the game. Buy CoD4 or at least something that will give you a fairly robust game for your hard-earned (probably parents') money.

Got no money? Try http://www.americasarmy.com/
Tactical FPS made by the US army as a propaganda tool. The only real "quality" FPS that I know of that you can get for free. You won't like it if you're a Halo run-around-in-circles-spraying-at-enemies-and-emerging-unscathed kind of guy. It's probably the most realistic FPS out there at the moment (in terms of gameplay, not graphics) for obvious reasons.

Give it a try.

America's Army has the most terrible online play I've ever come across, not community or servers or anything like that, just mechanics.

I'd be more apt to play the missions if they were offline and as good the other training missions.

Combat Arms was great in Open Beta. It was amazing.

I stopped playing as soon as it left the Beta stage assuming hackers would fill the game, and a cash system would cause severe balancing issues.

I was entirely correct. Combat Arms is now a pile of pure garbage.

I'm not trying to be tribal here, but Koreans don't seem to know what makes a game enjoyable. The most decent thing I've seen Korean was War Rock; before the L85, M82, Scorpion and all those other stuffty new weapons came out that you can only get through real money.

...And that's because the game was optimized well, and had solid gameplay that was generally copied from Battlefield, a game I had only heard about back then.

It's a great FPS.

LIES! LLIIEESS!!

The system for buying weapons sucks.

I don't think it sucks. I just think it could be much cheaper, and more balanced.

They aren't running an MMORPG that needs a lot of money from an item mall, in order to pay for its servers.

Yes but I prefer that when I spend money on a weapon, I keep it.

it's just like Guitar Hero, well what you said. if you buy everything, then there will be no point in money. they're just trying to make it so you will ALLWAYS have a use for money.

Not quite.
So I take it that you "rent" weapons and they are removed once you've had them for a period of time. These cash-shop game companies do this "rent an item for a week" scheme in order to make their users play the game as much as they possibly can to justify their purchase of the weapon. It's pretty much a trap. That's why I avoid these sort of games myself >.>

i wonder why i got banned ah well

XD

Combat arms was alright Free FPS during the beta. But I hate all these Free FPS that require you to "RENT" the guns and equipment. I prefer CS:S.

Well i for one enjoy combat arms. I have played since open beta. My character's name is Knil. Half the time when i play i use the starter gun, mostly because i have no gp to buy other guns. it is still fun though.

wen u get enough gp get an au a1 and ashotgun the shotgun is the last wep on pg 5 of primaries.
