I was thinking of a turret along the lines of Kaje's tank turret edit. Like the 18mm AA gun in age of empires 1.

Yeah I can visualize it now. Maybe if the side armor plate things were just a bit thinner and didn't move with the cannons, the cannons would rotate to look up/down as usual though.

Apart from that I dunno, the turret looks naked.
