because the psp is a ps2 right?
God I thought you were stupid before, but this just tipped the bucket.

PSP is not a PS2, there's even a name difference.

There are so many things wrong with this, let me break it down.

1) PSP uses UMD discs while the PS2 uses standard CD-ROM disc.
2) The PSP is a portable game console, the PS2 is just a console.
3) The PS2 has a 64 bit, 294.912 MHz processor, the PSP? Clocked from 1-300 MHz.
4) THE ONLY way you could probably do this is to port the game yourself or use homebrew software to emulate a ROM that someone has already made, which I doubt you are capable of.

The statement was foolish.

Or simply:
The PSP is not a PS2 because it is a PSP.

owning roms isn't illegal if you own the real copy also.
however emulating requires BIOS files that are illegal.
a conundrum

NO, NO NO NO NO NO! YOU MUST RIP IT YOURSELF.  Don't give me that same old news article, it's OLD.  I don't care if the ROM site you go to says that. Why would a ROM site say "LOLZ THIS IS ILLEGAL"

You could probably play HL1 on the PSP if you modded the stuff out of both the game and the PSP; but it'd run poorly, have awkward controls, and probably be illegal.

You could just not bother/ Half Life wasn't very good.

So you're saying it's fine to download games you do not own?

Durrhurr, let's assume I'm saying things totally unrelated!

The PSP is not a PS2 because it is a PSP.

but why is it called playstation portable then?
