Author Topic: There's an end of slate... why?!  (Read 3492 times)

By self feeding loop I am saying that to find the answer you must use the previous answer (x) to get a result.
Unless told to do otherwise, a computer will keep running x=x+1 until it breaks down. Any time an equation uses the same variable in both sides the answer will be some variant of infinity.

An Infinite Equation is possible but a computer cannot do that and that is why Slate is a Cube.

Yes, however you could set it to create a new cube every time someone sees the edge, thus creating a seemingly never ending cube.

Yes they can, you can just have it dump older memory to be able to compensate for the extreme income of new info.

well, i may be being supersticial, but i also think there is a end because f the imfamous "golden brick" that supposedly at the end of slate if you fly straight up really high, you can find the "magical" brick and become badspots friend.

Ahh, I get it now, Creating a new batch of info every time the old isn't used. Basicly when you can't see the old stuff, your computer dumps it to make room for the new.

It is a cube. All sides are the same.

And it is useful for idiot proof bases.
No, the sides are shorter then they are wide.

Go do it.

Lol : a computer will keep running x=x+1 until it breaks down.
Thats funny, its ganna break down

How about this:

Slate is a cube, once you walk off that cube you fall, so to some people that is like still walking due to not seeing where the ground is, which there isnt making an allusion that you are walking constently (or infinity) when, your just falling. Also the falling is a loop, If you could some how color slate to some seeing color and if you fell off the side, you would be able to see slate as many times as you can see your screen, meaning slate has a hidden teleport under the whole thing meaning if you fall, you teleport really high up, and fall some more, yet when you fall you fall away from the cube, so theres really no way back alive.

Also to get to the end of slate, get the save blocks: winter land, then just drive to where you see the very and, then you look around for the end and you will find it. I fell off it on the path leading straight into the palace.

I think Construct has no end.

I think Construct has no end.

I don't think Badspot would put a lot of effort in creating the code for infinite map.

Construct uses exactly the same base/floor as Slate, except the sky has been changed to pure white. It has an end.

Slate also has a bottom, I believe. Falling down would get you into an 'infinite' loop as the sky texture stays constant, but it doesn't stretch infinitely down and you aren't teleporting anywhere.

The path to the Ice Palace is extremely long which makes you go off the edge of Slate/Construct so if you walk off there you fall.

Yeah, first time I saw the end of slate, I thought of the ice palace.

Forgot it.

Now you reminded me of it.

The first time I saw the end of slate was on Yuki server.

Yuki: "Here's the end of the world..."
Me: "Lol wut?"
Me: "OSHT"
Yuki: "NOOOOO"
Me: "HALP"
