Author Topic: There's an end of slate... why?!  (Read 3483 times)

ITS THE END OF THE WORLD, and its FLAT!!!!

The end of the slate is a perfect place for like a movie because way back when, people were afraid to go out into the oceans because they thought earth was square.  you could make a BL movie on this some way.  But for us it would work.

You really don't need that much space anyways.

I do not know anyone who has used all the space in slate.  Me and menen have made a fence around it though just for lolz.

I once covered it with 64x64f.   I think the brick count was somewhere near 54,000 bricks.

Slate needs an end, because if it didn't, your computer would be sending/receiving too much information. But, it's the slate edits (e.g. slate grasslands) that can go on forever. You know the normal maps, like the bedroom? Well, it has no end. That's because the ground texture isn't transparent. (well, that's how I suppose it being.)

That is sad.

The first time I saw the end of slate was on Yuki server.

Yuki: "Here's the end of the world..."
Me: "Lol wut?"
Me: "OSHT"
Yuki: "NOOOOO"
Me: "HALP"

Lawl.

Did this and when trying to load it lagged the game for ten minutes. Any clients on would crash the server.

Thats Beast.

Anyway, I wish slate was smaller. :D

I think some body made a map that was just a giant 32x32 floating
