The "scripting tutorial" appears to be utterly useless.

After the first lesson you can make a function that does absolutely nothing, or you could if you knew where to put the code, how to package an Add-On or use the console. You keep referencing "Torque" with no relation to Blockland and how the Torque Game Engine is related and you don't actually explain anything which might be relevant to coding something useful.

What, exactly, is a function line and why do you keep talking about them?

That is why it is called Lesson #1: Preparing.

Can I get an advertisement, my plane I am finishing is almost done...

Ok, thanks for the criticism people, I'm reading it.

I know that the first issue was not very interesting.

I knew that was going to be the case, I wanted people to get the feel of it and next issue will be far better.

Why would you release stuff just so people could get the feel of it?  Do you like getting the feel of stuff?

It needs a longer scripting section. Otherwise, I like it! My clan, BlB, would like to endorse this magazine.

Thanks, I added you to the list as well as made an ad for the next issue.

Is there any way to... help with this?

Right now we don't need more staff, but you can suggest in the topic and as you already did, endorse us.

Don't be such a damned debbie downer, it wasn't that bad, and we wanted feedback of what to do in the next issue, it was meant to be a "What do we need to add to this to make it good" thing.

Honestly it does seem absurd. This is why companies do market research before giving out something. Do you think toothpaste manufacturers sold tubes of stuff, then asked people how it could be improved? The first thing you release should be something cool that draws people in and entertains them.

Anyway as for feedback, this just looks like another Blockland magazine that reviews stuff and does nothing new or valuable or interesting that I'd want to read. Now i'm most likely never going to read it again because you've already set the standard for your magazine and i'm skeptical that it'll improve.

See, theory in action!

You don't have to read it, but don't troll our thread because you don't like it.

You're not reading for understanding.  The point isn't that people don't like it.  The point is that the magazine sucks.
