Played this game for about six months, I believe that I had an90 Trader and an 90 Commando on Intrepid or whatever it's called. Anyway, very fun game but the "Jedi for everyone." update made it die.

Knights of the Old Republic was a great game, not too sure how the mmo would be.

I might try it. But forget the original Galaxies.

I have had the demo on a Disc...
Till i lost it.

I missed the game. It had one of the best economic systems in an MMO I have ever seen. And the best leveling system ever also. You learned skills from different trees and combined them to make different classes. It was so fun and unique. Then loving SOE just turned it into everquest in space.

I had that game, an old clan member had it and I played for 3 months on it with him. I wasn't good so I never got to do anything cool. I also bought the game without expansion packs >.>

I feel the same way with every MMO I play :(
Especially WoW, its all for end-game(Lvl60+)stuff.
On-Topic:Played it, payed for one month, got bored, quit, went back to it for a week, quit again. And that is my SWG history.

Oh god I loved this game, first online game to play :3
I miss it now :<
Although I don't want to pay the 15 a month

could someone explain to me how SWG was before the update that killed it? and then what changed?

Before the update it basically let you fully customize everything on how your character played. You could learn languages, become a politician, a weaponsmith, a drink mongle.
Skills would be learned induvidually so you could, say, learn rifling and 1-handed weapons or whatever. You could become a bounty hunter or combat medic. There were so many variations on everything you could do through its leveling system you basically got to create your own class. Myself, I was working on becoming a master swordsman, samuri style, and weapon smithing so I could create my own super sword. My step-dad was a combat medic and later became a bounty hunter and ran his own city of way over 100 users. He actually became a jedi later, but back then, being a jedi was something special. It took people months to become one and once you were, you were on the top of the... err... galaxy (aside from the bounty hunters that would chase after you) and it seemed everything in the game had some sort of purpose.
It was so awesome...

WHY THE forget DID THEY CHANGE IT. that sounds where better then it does now D: sounds more realistic acually

Although I'm not often a fan of realism, it was indeed, epic

Good Game + SOE = Ruins of a Good Game.

HEY IF ANY OF YOU SWG EMPLOYEES CAN HEAR ME CHANGE SWG BACK OR I'LL KILL YOU ALL

man i wish i played before that game ending update, it sounded like fun

I wouldn't mind them not changing it back, if they made it a 1 buy situation, it's definitely worth 15 a month with how it is now.

why don't they listen to there fans and change it back?  :panda: :panda: :panda: :panda: :panda: :panda: :panda: :panda: :panda: :panda:
