Author Topic: Blockland Range 28030 or 28032 (Read 1403 times)

At Portforward.com it says Blockland is 28000 to 28030, but blockland says it's 32, not 30 So what one is it?

It doesn't matter, unless you plan on hosting for more than 30 people, then use 32 as that's the limit.

I forwarded 28000-28032.

If your on Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7, your subnet mask should by 255.255.255.0. It'll automatically fill this in usually.

Clearly you didn't understand them.
If 2 players makes all the difference in your server then forward through 32. If you can deal with only 30 players in your server forward through 30.

I've got this down, I need to know if my DCHP server needs to be disabled, and I don't mean my DCHP client I know that does..

I don't know why Badspot's tutorial tells you to change all this DNS and gateway stuff but you shouldn't have to change anything on your computer (minus anti-virus/firewalls) to make port forwarding work. Leave your IP options to Obtain Automatically or whatever, and setup your router as normal going to your computer IP. Then if there's a LAN IP Reservation section in your router, configure that to always give your computer the same ip. If there isn't, you'll just have to check your IP each time you start a server and change the router to use that one.

And that's why we set up an IP on the computer, so we don't have to change the router settings everytime we turn on the computer or reconnect to the router.
