Random ID Assignment?

I don't think this is the problem you guys make it out to be. How many servers actually do it? 6? 10? Don't go to them, they suck. They're the sort of servers where you'll be building and suddenly find yourself dead when the admin uses their slay all command. Or disabled from a stun gun or a flashbang someone threw at you.

Random ID assignment would not solve "ID discrimination".  In fact, it would make it worse.  The way it is now, at least its the more "veteran" players that have the low IDs.  With it being random, any random newbie could get a low ID and a veteran could end up with 15,000.  Then you'd still have idiots that treat players the same way - based on ID.  I'd much rather have people that have been here longer and are more likely to have adapted to community standards than newbies getting the low IDs.

But ID discrimination is based on the fact that newer players have higher IDs. Why would you make fun of people who randomly get a higher number?

Why would you make fun of people who happen to get a higher number?  There's nothing inherent to new players that makes them idiots.  We happen to draw a lot of stupid kids, but the people banning them from servers are usually stupid kids too.  I love how everyone begs for new features and bug fixes, and then bitches when they take forever to complete due to all this extra stuff that Badspot has to implement so you kids don't torture each other.
