Isn't selling a BL key against the rules? :I

Probably not if he gives it to you as a gift.

yes it would be

I'll take that as a "I'm not really selling it so it doesn't matter".
Just watching out to make sure you don't get banned.

That should be it.. I might've left off something since I am a bit drowsy.

The case choice is questionable. While a popular option, it is renowned for having really poor cable management and generally being a "tight-fit" for large GPUs.

Your motherboard choice is also an odd one. Why spend that much on a X48 motherboard for Crossfire support when you are choosing an Nvidia GPU? If you are going with a Core 2 processor, there are much cheaper boards available (such as the P45 chipset) or you could go with the 750i for SLI support.

The CPU is a good choice for the Core 2 Quad series, I recommended a Core i7 920, mainly based on the features the X58 platform offers. 920 is actually about $40 cheaper than the Q9650 and I believe has equal or greater performance*.

All your other choices seem ok. That CD drive doesn't have a proven track record yet, I recommended the Lite-On drive for a few bucks more, simply because the reviews attest to it's reliability. Not a big deal though.

*I didn't bother to look it up. Needs verification

I'm used to AMD motherboards.

Hay wait, Bis, I'm naked now how do I get that $500?
I already tried that, Females only :(

Bump for ignored topic :p
I wanna do it today or tomorrow, so ill need a few people to see this.
Hopefully when I'm home this evening, ill be happy with what I seen

Where can you possibly find a strip club by tonight?

You didn't pick an AMD motherboard...so what are you saying?

Anyway, the main feature that the X48 platform offers (the one you suggested) over the much cheaper one (P45) is the ability to use Crossfire. Aside from a few less important differences, it simply costs a lot more. If he were getting an ATI card it might make more sense.

On the other hand, the X58 platform is a major upgrade from your standard Core 2 setup. Triple channel memory, an integrated memory controller and native Crossfire and SLI support make it a worthwhile investment. I7's have plenty of room for overclocking and support hyperthreading as well.

Well, AMD doesn't have quad cores from what I've seen. :p

Problem found with your choices TicTac: Your motherboard is LGA 775 CPU Socket and that Core i7 requires an LGA 1366 socket.

AMD does have quad cores but... I can't be stuffed to explain it...

He picked a Core 2 Quad processor, not a Core i7. What the forget are you smoking?

Off-Topic: Bisjac, I've noticed you've been bribing alot of people with Blockland keys latley. Birthday cards, and now your brother's computer. Where do you find the money? :o
I earn his cash on the corners. Shhhhh don't let him know I told you all.
