Didn't read the whole thing but off the top of my head wages, rewards for actions, and prices should be more demand-based, e.g. if the city burns all the time because no one wants to be a fireman, the market increases the incentive to be one by raising the wage.

i was thinking of a similar system, but if i did that, jobs wouldn't be as solid as i want them to be



switching from repairman to firefighter just because the city just burst into flames doesn't make sense.

I think you should make it so only a certain amount of people can get a specific job. Just like in the real world if everyone wants to be a fireman they can't all be one because the fire company can't afford that many people and will not hire anymore after they reach their limit. Also I think you should put an alcholic beverage the grocer sells that takes away from your health but boosts your "attack level" or what ever it was. I can see it now in the headlines: Two drunks get in a barfight and they both are killed by police snipers... Which also reminds me, can you put in a newspaper job type thing?

 I can give access to my statusbar GUI's server side code and to some of my other GUIs.

I must say, this is one of the best ideas that has ever been made.
I wish I could help with this project, but I can't script.


Its an annoyance i cant script, but i Favour this idea a lot. Absolutely great idea, and (if its done) with the whole script being kept by one or two people (who are trusted) we ont get a Load of crappy Blockoscript servers being hosted by noobs.

This is kinda like Rise of Blockland.

One thing I'd love to see in something like this would be the addition of democracy. For example besides from the Admin who runs the server it would be really good if there were elections for mayor. The mayor could be giving administrative powers of the city. I don't know what exactly would be available for the mayor to use powers on but I think the addition of a democracy with elections for meaningful post to be filled would be a great addition to a city. What's everybodies views on this?

For a while now I've been dreaming of a DemocracyRP. If done well the bonding of a CityRP and a Democracy system could make for some very serious and addictive roleplaying.

You are thinking of the U.S. right, Hoogle? The U.S. is a Democratic Republic not a democracy. A democracy is majority rules the people and republic is essentialy the "election by the people of public officials best fitted to represent them." So I believe if you, Bushido are going to add a government, add a republic not a democracy as Hoogle said. Here so lets say there are a 7 guys that want to hang this 1 guy. In a democracy setting they could hang him because 7 vs. 1 wins because of majority. But in a republic setting the 1 guy could "elect" a group of friends to decide if he should be hung.
