I'm really impressed with its graphics :o

the wetness & Precipitation video is awesome

But its also gay in the fact that its $1,000 to get the decent features and the source code.

But dynamic shadows would be awesome in blockland, As would the bricks casting a shadow at all.

It looks really nice. im impressed :D

Honestly, torque is built on antiquated technology and you're probably better off piecing together your own engine with open-source projects (ogre+bullet+raknet+whatever) or using one of torque's competitors (neoaxis, unity, leadwerks engine, ...).

They're doing some awesome stuff.
Especially the web publishing, and the new terrain system.

DIF is out(well, still in but DTS is meant to take over at this point), DTS is in it's place.
Atlas is out, a new terrain system closer to TGE terrain is in.

Many things are improved. Look at the GDC videos.

Collada*
No.

Collada files are turned into temporary .dts on launch.

now imagine if this was blockland, those graphics and map editors remind me of farcry 2, even thought farcry 2 graphics are better, imagine if you were there, bumpmap rendering and brick shadows.

Might be worth to buy in 5-9 years.

Only thing I like is the rain and dynamic water.
