I'm not sure if this is possible, so it's a suggestion.

For the people who played Half-Life 2, I'm sure you'll be familiar with a massive crane you use in the level "Highway 17". In essence, this vehicle would be that crane. It would not be capable of driving, but moving it's magnet and turntable. It would be capable of picking up stuff that is classed as a "vehicle". It would also have to have the near-indestructibility of the Bench vehicle due to it's size. It would also (obviously) have only one mountpoint. If it couldn't be made with a full-fledged set of legs, it could have only an upper-part and no legs. It would also have to be incapable of being pushed or picked up by Spaceguy's Gravity Gun (weight).
If this is impossible, tell me and I'll lock the topic.

I am not sure because I do not have experience with this stuff, But wouldn't it be possible to have a vehicle that rotates like the tank turret, but not movable and at the end have something like the "Gravity gun" back in V8 that picks vehicles up?

The Gravity Gun can pick anything up, I think, as long as it's a vehicle. Throwing massive aeroplanes at people is quite fun.

Well, this is a magnet crane anyway, it would have a massive movable magnet to crush people with or steal their rides. It also would have to be bolted in now, because if it was picked up by a grav-gun at the size I imagined, it could kill a ton and take up HUGE amounts of space. >=)

It sounds a rather cool idea, but in all honesty, i wouldn't want it. If a bunch of noobs with servers got it, and decided to spawn like fifty of them, THat server would have to be the worst ever.

Also (just saying this was made, and had the capability to pick up any vehicle) What would happen if a crane picked up a crane that was holding a crane?

That's why I was talking about it being incompatible with the grav-gun earlier. =/

You could put a weight restriction on it, I recall vehicles having a mass Field you can play with. If a vehicle is too massive the gravity gun could be made to not pick it up. Just an idea.

Also a crane would be tough but pretty cool.
