Author Topic: First Add-On Section  (Read 706 times)

I have just realized a new section idea for the Blockland forums.
It is a section where people can post their first add-on for approval/disapproval.
It would make more sense for it to just be the newer ones, not like kaje's first add-on or anything like that. I am talking about the newer members. The section can also have sub-categories, very similar to add-ons. This might help clear up some of the "spam" in the add-ons section. Once an new add-on is posted here-it shouldn't come with a download until approved- members can critique the add-on. Each add-on automatically comes with a poll with the two options:
  • Approve
  • Disapprove
or something like that.
Upon approval, it will be automatically moved to the add-ons section. (thats just my idea)
Upon disapproval, it will be automatically moved to the fail-bin.

I will update with more ideas if I come up with any...
Feel free to comment/add ideas.

Major bump, I really would like to see more feedback then:
Sounds good...

I don't think it should be for just first add-ons, someone could put out a crappy first one, and a second one.
Or perhaps a good first one, and a crappy second one.

I see what your saying, I like that idea.

Sounds like RTB. it warns you if ephi has approved an add on or not.

Uhh... if it has no download link, then how do people critique it?

I would expect them to put lots of pictures and a detailed description.
I suppose a link could be allowed...

There could be a "good add-ons" section where only people that have made 3 or more good add-ons can create new topics! :P

There would have to be a definition to "good."

noobs would disapprove spam if it automatically gets failed on disapproval.

I didn't think of that... now I'm brainstorming a solution.
