Would it be possible to make some bricks that have prebuilt tunnels or holes in them?

Every client does though, if they are addons.

.blb files are not transferred when joining a server.

Yeah, I never understood that. It's quite useless to start making custom bricks if nobody can see them when you're testing them or most of the community when released.

Same with decals and faces, only those who download them can see them.

I thought bricks had to be convex shapes (IE. rectangular prisms)? I could have sworn I asked Badspot about that many moons ago.

Take a look at the castle wall brick, you can even shoot through the hole.
