Actually those weren't my words.

It would have been nice if you weren't a jackass in chat forcing me to friend you in Steam. Denied.

I'll might get a new computer soon. Should I keep 32-bit XP and stick with max 3GB RAM, or get 64-bit XP?

Isn't it obvious? More ram is more power :D

get 64-bit XP?
From what I've heard from Ronin & Trader (at least I think it was them), Windows XP 64 bit is not a consumer OS. In other words, you shouldn't use it. It's terrible. If you want 64 bit, go with Windows Vista Home Premium 64 bit.

Is 64-bit XP like 32-bit, but supports more RAM? I don't like Vista, you can't customize so much as on XP.

How many damn times do we have to say do not get XP 64? I don't even know what the hell you mean in that second sentence.

;_;

i wouldn't use 64xp, its so unstable. i dont know the story but apparently it wasn't spose to exist. i don't know what it means, but its a fact that microsoft don't support it.
it stops at service pack 1, and missing other important security updates that WONT install.

That's why I'm not getting 64bit XP.

Sheezy,

Using Linux for major gaming is a horrible choice.
Why go through the hassle of finding out how to set up every single game, which not all of them are compatible with wine; when you could go on windows, which isn't that slower if you account for setting up time in Linux, and everything is compatible(or at least everything that matters) and it works well?

Also about how Linux has almost no viruses (come on, there has to be at least one) is irrelevant to anyone with common sense.
I've had this computer (using Windows Vista for the first part then using Windows 7 when it started with Build 7000) since the start of the year and I've had no viruses at all even though I've pirated over 128 things and have gone to many different research sites.

Like RW said (sort of), I would only use Linux if I wasn't gaming, like doing media or just for hosting a server.

32-bit XP has a limit of 3.5 GB from personal experience.

64-bit XP is a piece of stuff, don't go for it.
