I think this should be a forcefield, so when you fire it blocks projectiles from all sides, and takes a little bit to recharge.  Just a suggestion.

Make it use the transparent textures (black50 and the like) so it isn't entirely one colour but still colorshifts.

It does use the trans textures, but yeah.. i shouldn't make it all one color.
Ill fix it.

so... you have to shoot the projectile to deflect it?

it might be a good idea to have a really big projectile- it might be easier to deflect that way
