Blockland is just repeating all over the same thing, torque's wantings. It can't be so big, if its to calculate just the sandbox its actually very lil [the sandbox where its not repeating again]. Hope you/someone understands what i ment
Also: HL2 Isn't called a big map, reason: Its on mision based. 1 map = 1 mission. Actually 4 maps = 1 mission. I ment games that haves 1 MAP not 2900 and haves more levels. Like Test Drive or WoW. NFS Is counting here too!

I am mking a map that makes use of the new one repeat BL feature. :o

FUEL.  Isn't it like 4000 miles?
EDIT: It's about 100,000 miles.

The game world is said to be over 5,000 square miles (14,000 km²) in size and be completely free to roam.

Spore space stage

Those are just little waypoints, you can't call it a map as all you do is click on different planets to get to a place.

That's like me making a game where there's two points, 50000000000000000000000000000 00000000000000000000000 miles away, and all you do is click on the other one to move to it.
And in your logic, that would be considered the biggest map ever. Even though you can't move anywhere but between those two points (like no freely roaming around)

But you didn't consider about the planets themselves, which could take practically forever to explore them all.

Fine the <insert a planet from spore> is big.

old games with huge maps:
starwars battlefront 1 and 2
battlefield 1942

But you didn't consider about the planets themselves, which could take practically forever to explore them all.
But none of that are huge maps?

Now, if you combined them all, then yes, it would be huge. Too bad it's not combined, and it's split up, so no huge maps.

Fine the <insert a planet from spore> is big.
Planets from spore are small compared to other games.
