i had a good laugh when Chekov had to repeat himself to the computer because it couldn't understand him.

Same.

I saw it last night, good movie even though I'm not a fan of Star Trek.

Saw it yesterday, I really liked it. Maybe on par with some of the star wars movies, or lord of the rings. My only con for this film was that the movie itself makes sense to a widespread audience, yet half the humor is only understood by hardcore star trek fans.

Not really.

No a lot of the jokes could be understood regardless of fandom.

aaah, thats why he said:
Try again people.

Busy, didn't get to see it on Saturday.

:/

What I think would be amazing, and I was telling my friend this as we walked out of theaters, they should try a new TV series.

J.J Abrams is big on TV shows, and if he could get this cast and this kind of story it would make for great TV.

With a whole new "universe" of Star Trek, seeing as they "started over" with the whole time travel plot, they could have unlimited possibilities for story ideas because it's not the same Star Trek as before. It'd be extremely fun to see Star Trek on TV again.

Anything would be better than UPN's Enterprise.

But yeah they're trying to breath life back into the series, much like Batman Begins. Probably will work.

Just saw it with Kairi. She was less than thrilled to see it but by the end of the movie she was as into it as me.
It was awesome... I still dislike the StarTrek interpretation of time travel but whatever... it was neat.

Well that only go back in times like... 5 times the same way?

Well the way they went back this time is different than the way they did it in Star Trek IV. Something to do with black holes rather than slingshoting around Jupiter.
