Author Topic: Torque Game Engine for the iPhone/iPod Touch | Blockland for iPhone/iPod Touch  (Read 2166 times)

While I was just looking through the App Store on my iPod, I noticed that there was an app called "iTGE FPS" (or something along those lines). I downloaded it and played the three singleplayer things that were on there. The loading screen and the gameplay was very familiar to the Torque Game Engine demo app for PC, and supposidly they didn't lower the texture qualities or anything, they just made on-screen controls and did something with iTGE, made an app and submitted it to the App Store.

Now, the reason I made this topic is because, as most of you know, Blockland uses Torque Game Engine, and it would be absolutely awesome for Badspot to modify Blockland with iTGE and make it work with the iPod Touch/iPhone. Sure, it wouldn't be able to handle many bricks, but it would still be kickass.

What do you think? Should Badspot make a Blockland for the iPhone/iPod Touch?

Ya I just realized that. Heh

What about for PSP?

I think it should be separate. Like you can't join a pc server.

Also, TwoGuns mobile :D

It won't happen. Trust me. I'd like to see you trying to use the Blockland Interface on an iTouch.

exactly what I was thinking. That's why I said make a separate game.a It can be dumbed down

Also it would probably work best in portrait, with controls on bottom and world on top. Like the gameboy emulators I don't have.

Interface/speed of iPhone internet/speed of iPhone.

Not going to happen.

That's true, the interface would be a bit hard to navigate, yet alone create.
I never really thought about that, I was just saying that it'd be pretty cool to have Blockland for the iPhone/iPod Touch.
also, [insert rage here over itouch oh no I don't really care anymore]

Loving that gb4iphone and gpSPhone?
I know I am. :D

What's with the recent rise of "dude this wuld be so kewl on the itouch"? It's hardly a good system to use for gaming. If you were going to port it to something else, the Xbox would be more plausible, if anything.

I have some ideas about the controls for regular phones, even though they would be too slow.

You found out now?! Lol, I've heard of this iTorque for long.
