What is the difference between xbox 360 arcade and the plain xbox 360?
Because I want to buy one but I dont want to end up with a game system that sucks.

The Arcade is less expensive, and only comes with very bare amount of equipment. Normal Video cords, wired controller, small Hard drive, different layout. The 'normal' 360 comes with Wireless controller, large Hard Drive, HD Video cords, and free trial of xboxlive. Sometimes comes with a game. Correct me if I'm wrong, might be missing something. The arcade version is pretty much low-budget for new console gamers.

This, and the 360 Arcade version can't play any old Xbox games. Also I'm pretty sure the pro system (The normal one) I believe can connect using HDMI, doesn't come with it, whereas the Arcade version can not. But I'm not sure.

Also, mine didn't come with free trial of Xbox live D:

That's a load of stuff.
Unless you bought it 2 years ago.
Now-a-days, the Arcade is the same as the others. The only difference is the equipment that comes with.

Pro; 60gb hdd, headset, wireless controller, HDMI, livetrail
Arcade; 512 memory card, wired controller, no HDMI

Oh, I seriously need to update myself.....

Last time I checked, which was a while ago, on the Xbox.com site it said what I said. Hmmmmm......

I had an xbox, broke a few months after, shipped it back, got another one, that one lasted a little over a year and that broke, so I got pissed that my warranty was out so I went to Target and bought the Arcade for $200 and got the 3 year warranty on it.
