Author Topic: Fairly Odd Parents Relation to Norse Mythology and Boomerang  (Read 2983 times)

House season two was okay. Then it went downhill when they added plots.

Like... House M.D.? What does that have to do with the... oh well it's Off-Topic, go for it.

Yes, and since everybody is bitching about how shows are now crap I decided to put my opinion in.

The only character I like on iCarly is that older brother dude, he's epic.
Yea, me and him share names :3

topic DERAILED

Nicktoons Netowrk, channel 122 on IO in Ney jersey's time zone still shows some of the older more amazinger shows. I dunt think they show invader zim anymore though D: Ren and stimpy maybe

Invader zim was and is the best nickolodean show ever.

To make this topic even more off topic let's talk about boomerang. The channel that shows all the old cartoons from my parent's childhood. I personally think those cartoons are better than those of today.

Well to start off, I've recently become interested in Norse Mythology sadly my school doesn't offer any classes that study it, I'm hoping the college I go to does. I instead occasionally look up Norse Mythology on my own time. I was reading about the bridge: Bitfrost and learned it connects Midgard and Asgard, The world of men and the world of gods. This bridge was said to be a rainbow bridge.
In the fairly odd parent there's a bridge not unlike this one that connects fairy world to earth. This bridge is also a rainbow.

Both the Norse gods and the TV show's fairies are immortal, Asgard and Midgard can also be translated as the world of immortals and the world of mortals.

You just made a connection. Lolwut?

So what, they are immortal. Lots of Mythology gods are Immortal. And the Bridge is a Rainbow. Big deal, doesnt mean its connected to Norse Mythology.
