If god is really full of wisdom, why would he even create religion? Religion started or help start almost every war or conflict in human history. If we shouldn't kill, why does god?

God didn't create religion, people did.
I see God as a substitute for a father-figure for those that leave their parents.
If the father killed someone or gone through something troubling, he would want to make sure his son doesn't follow that path right?
