No, just do. Too many objects could result in a laggier model, though of course it's good to divide things up for editing and simplicity.

Yes, definitely, the mod is dying because the creator doesn't post in the forum topic for 3-4 days. And its barely even started when loads of modeling work is done. I applaud you for your amazing ability to observe.
