Well, my mom was pretty angry when she saw me sitting there playing good 'ol Doom II. Those were the days.
It wasn't till I was about 14 she let me actually play M games. My dad didn't care as long as there was nothing loveual in it, he knew I wouldn't do anything stupid though.

My mom didn't hate guns until I got Driv3r, then she literally forced me to act like a civilian driving. Sure, I didn't mind it for the first 10 minutes. She hated the fact that I could shoot* people. But she won't care if i play Turok. You can still shoot people there.

There is blood.  You'll notice whenever you shoot a tank up, y'know.  They also swear alot.  And there's alot of violence.

Lol, that remind me when my brothers and I were playing GTA SanAndreas, when my Nan walked in. She has a look at what were doing, and my older brother is driving an Ambulance down the sidewalk crushing pedestrians, my nan then looks at us and says "Why don't you try Dodging the nice people"....she walks off and were left laughing.

But slightly more on topic; My parents have never had a problem with my brothers and I playing violent games or even games such as GTA. My cousins however, who are both girls, weren't allowed to play any violent games until they got to the specified age. The only near violent game was Half-Life, which i was allways jealous of, since we never had :(
