Author Topic: Parents, tsk tsk tsk  (Read 6362 times)

My parents were and are totally okay with me playing all kinds of games.  In fact, I myself limit what games I play.  I have never played Gears of War, the Doom series, or any of the GTA games before San Andreas because I thought that they were over doing the gore and vices.

In the case of Doom (especially 3) it was too scary.  I hate being scared, and I am scared easily, so that's why.

The only thing my mom was ever worried about was in battlefield vietnam (one of the first games I played multiplayer).  She didn't want me playing on the vietnamese team because she was iffy about shooting american soldiers.

At a young age my parents let me play violent video games because they knew I was smart enough to know what's real and what's fake, If something happens and they blame it on video games, they're loving handicapped.
quote for the truth

I remember watching my dad play counter strike and half life when I was really little. And watch my uncle play doom and duke nukem :P he never let me play them though D: so i had to sneak and play it when he was gone. xD

Doom 3 was not scary at all. Fact.

Even I don't like playing on the enemy team, but that's mostly aesthetic and familiarization rather than patriotism. (U-S-A! U-S-A! U-S-A!)

the only thing my mom ever said about my games, is something about how big lara's tits were in tomb raider 2.

My parents just say that a game i dont like.
Ok then i play.
They dont care.

Haha lol my parents only say if its bloody or there is scary things in it then they dont care.

My parents trust me, you guys must be horrible.

I played GTA at the age of 4, my mom started it for me :V

I was playing Halo at 12-13 or so, my mom is pretty lenient about that stuff. She knows I'm not going to go crazy and imitate it.

My dad, on the other hand, gets a little iffy about it. He wasn't very happy when he realized that Tony Hawk Pro Skater was rated T for blood when I was playing when I was about 7-8.

Dad didn't even want me to play games.

I played halo when I was 6. (moms house)

Mom didn't give a forget. (my parents weren't married(bastard))

My mom thinks its funny, like if shes in the room and I'm plang CSS, I'll be all "Hey mom watch this" and blow CC's brains out and my mom will just be like "OH MY GOD HAHAHA"

I wish my parents were like that. :D

My dad let me play Olivion at 8 yrs old. Then I got the PC version! lulz
You were 8 when oblivion came out? So you're what 11? Nice grammar.
She also thinks that grand theft auto 4 had a bunch of people with picket signs yelling for it to get banned.
It did when the parents found out about the hidden un-used love minigame. Was a big stink over that.

Yea my moms cool :)

My mom is alright with me playing L4D, TF2, HL2, Saints Row 2, and other gore-tastic games, but not any GTA games. What the hell?
