The only thing that makes me sick at Battlefield 2 is that the bots are somehow "cheating" (I was shoting a bot with a full magazine and he just didn't die!).
The thing that makes me sick at 1943 is that there are, yet again, no bots. It would be such a great game when you actually could play alone with bots, explore the maps and enjoy non random skilled players.

1942 was, since they produced Battlefield, one of their best games ever.

Game's great, I doubt this will be alike to PC.  Whole new experience! :D

I've had such epic moments, like randomly shooting an explosive barrel, then it killing someone.  I've also had a jeep land on top of my jeep, a bridge blown up right in front of me, then driving right down and dying. I also love when people use the infantry melee wrench. :P

It's Bad Company and 1942 with half the content. May I ask, why? Seriously, was it necessary to have no new weapons at all? The guns are different models depending on your team, but it's the same damage, clip capacity- everything. It's still a lot of fun, but they could have done more.

It's $15 and an arcade game on Live. Hmmmmmmm...

Also: I played the trial, it's fun :D but I have no money to buy it :/

Guess that's why it'll never stack up with the other Battlefields. Plus, we've got Bad Company 2 on the way, so it might die pretty quickly. Then again, it's got a kind of appeal that I really like. Maybe my complaining is due to the server issues that aren't letting me play it very much.

They ended up removing features for god knows what reason, probably because "mean people were griefing waaah". EA tends to be like that.

Also sea maps are nice but the best maps were always the huge land-based ones, especially whenever bombers were involved for no adequately explored reason. Sea maps were good only because it usually meant there were battleships and destroyers and aircraft carriers to make things way more interesting.

The entire point of 1942 was to goof around, which is why everyone got hooked on it. It's basically the ideal party game, heck I had it installed on all the comps back in the chem society's computer lab to play whenever no one wanted to do anything useful. I think the producers at the time realised that all anyone was really playing the game for was the hilarity, since they added the "Secret Weapons" expansion which added all sorts of goofy features and vehicles and everyone played it to death. Then the old producers got steam rolled, replaced, and out came that stuffpile Vietnam.

Battlefield died at number 2, 2142 was kind of fun as any plain old FPS but it wasn't battlefield.

Now that I think about it, I don't remember having much fun on Vietnam. 1942 was definitely one of the best. After seeing what EA did to this one, it makes me wonder if DICE even wanted to have expiring items on BF Heroes. Also I really wish I could find my 2142.

EA. DOES NOT. MAKE GAMES. HOLY. stuff.

EA. DOES NOT. MAKE GAMES. HOLY. stuff.

They're not just a publisher and distributor, they become part of the development process going on in companies they assimilate.

Quote from: Wikipedia
Electronic Arts (EA) (NASDAQ: ERTS) is an international developer, marketer, publisher and distributor of video games.

Because they're pretty much in the middle of the entire process by default, games go through them while they're being developed by the studios.

bad company is not a battlefield game.
shame on ea

Go cry. It's still fun.

Never said it wasn't fun, but good job making yourself look like a richard.

I heard that they made a free game called battlefield heroes i wonder if it is good, im not going to play it though because free games aren't really good.

I have good reason to be.  The devs spend lots of time and money on a game, then all you guys do is complain because it's not like some other game.
