hey I just had a idea

water only has to be a certain amount of blocks away for farming right? what if I put the water UNDER the blocks im farming on that way I don't have to get in the water and walk so slow to get my grain :D

Place farm blocks in a grid where they each have 1 block in between eachother and put water under each one. Then put those light gray step blocks in the empty spaces. Tada, farm.

Hey guys, so I'm trying to make a greenhouse thing.
Grass wasn't growing through the glass, so I followed some instructions and demolished half my skylight and built a little staircase so the grass will grow.

However, I can't get the grass to grow downward, about 5 or 6 blocks down is where I need it.

Halp?
