1. First what you need to do is get WinRar if you don't have it already.
2. Download whatever pack you want to use. These are usually in .zip files.
3. Go to your Application Data folder. You can access this folder by press Win(windows key) + R and typing "%appdata%".
4. Go to the folder titled ".minecraft" and then lib or library. Open minecraft.jar with WinRar.
5. Drag and drop ALL of the contents of the UNZIPPED texture pack folder into minecraft.jar. Please note you can't drag them directly onto the file. You must open it with WinRar and drag it into the WinRar window.
