put pumpkin above torch in craft table
get jack-o-lantern

While inside the Nether watches and compasses will be unable to tell the time or direction and will flail back and forth.

The ceiling and the base of the Nether are made of bedrock.

In addition, to the special block types, gravel can also be found in the Nether.

Lil Robot's server is the best.
I accidently made a giant waterfall with one block of water, it was beside a lava fall and I made cobblestone.
As I went down, Lava and Water mixed and made obsidian.
I made like 20 blocks of them :D

EDIITT: Nether is forgetton hard. Their pigmen dont stop coming and they cut through armor. What the stuff.

Pigmen are friendly when not attacking them.
Don't attack them, else their whole pack (they spawn in packs) will come after you.
