Agreed.  10 surface biomes, and only one type of stone, very boring when mining.

This game also needs more plant life, perhaps a vine plant that grows in rainforests, (or anywhere hot and wet) which can grow onto any block and connect like redstone dust does to itself, which can overgrow onto your buildings after a long time.  It could be broken into either a vine seed or usable vine, which does not grow, but can be used to make ladders.

It's when you place a door next to a cacti (smallest), they both will be destroyed but and give a drop but the upper half of the door will still be there and when you destroy it you will get one more door. With other words: A free way to make doors.
