It takes a hell lot of time to find 3 diamonds, but then again the axe has a long lasting durability due to its not so frequent use.

I still prefer stone or steel axes over wasting diamonds on trees.

i use diamond for swords and most tools.
armour and pickaxes are always iron for me.

its not about what lasts longer, its about access to resources. its not hard to carry 6 pickaxes around.

make them as you need them instead of making a lot of them at once.

i thought glowstone had lighting equivalent to the sun, but pumpkins had more than a torch less than the sun.

Pumpkins, the sun and glowstone have a light level of 15.
