lol, 1.8 isn't coming out tomorrow, it's coming early september.

also, i don't give a forget about 1.8, i'm building a 1.7.3 city. hopefully when i transfer it to 1.8 there won't be anything basically raping it, like the new trees did to some old saves. if there are special new blocks i can always just pop that stuff in with toomanyitems.

No, he said the the terrain wouldn't be compatible. 1.7 maps will still be playable in 1.8. You'll just have to go outside the area you've explored to find the new terrain.

for stuffheads believing there's a blue spider coming in 1.8, it's actually the default spider being changed. as for the blue, it's the night ambiance.

Ok, so that's 2 sources now that have said he's splitting the update into 1.8 and 1.9, and according to this newest source, 1.8 will be out within a couple of weeks from now.
