Its because people play an update for a week and then get bored.
They refuse to see that there are 1000s of good mods.

But I have to admit, 1.7 wasnt enough to be called an "major" update because it added so little content.

I'm not going to update to 1.8, mainly because like all other Mojang updates it will need 2-3 hotfixes in order to be playable.

By then I'll be done with my current save anyway.

I always use them, uninstall, play vanilla, repeat.
