The forget? Not only are you right, I gave both my Snow Golem's Wheat and THEY ATTACK EACH OTHER. That completely forgets up the utility part of them since they will attack each other in proximity.

Yep, put a Pumpkin in your Craft area and get 4 sets of seeds. Also, putting two tools in your crafting area combines their health. Although it needs adjustment, since you can add a full health tool to a lesser one and get a full health tool... Which is a total ripoff.
