Several suggestions for minecarts and tracks--O----O----O----O----OCART MODS-O----O----O----O----OCarts could have an extra box at the side of the cart window where you could put any of the following items-1. Engines. Made of obsidian blocks in the same formation as chests and furnaces, thesewould allow carts to move at a higher speed whilst riding. (see "seats") There would be 3 fuel levels, 1, wood, 2, coal, and 3, obsidian. You would merely have to drop the fuel on to the engine in the cart window, and a GUI would show how much fuel is left while you're riding the cart. Engines would automatically connect to the closes seat to it. They would also move slower and require more fuel to run if there were many carts attached.2. Seats. Made by placing wood or stone blocks in an L shape, this would allow you to drive a cart train(along with an engine).3. Block Holder. Made by ticking a button at the bottom of the cart screen(not reversible), this creates a single spot in the middle of the screen that allowes you to place something like a crafting table or furnace, or a diamond block if you want people to chase you when multiplayer comes out :P.4. Normal cart. o hai-O----O----O----O----OMORE STUFF-O----O----O----O----O-When pushed together, carts should automatically connect, and be able to disconnect through the cart screen-track switches, A&D to go left or right-jumps-tracks having same physics as half blocksKeep up the great work !!I know most of these won't be possible, or are a bit over the top.

Having the minecarts automatically connect would probably become a nuisance.
Maybe have an option when you right click it to connect/disconnect?
Yeah, but it might interfere with the menu thing.
