Author Topic: Minecraft Megathread; yeah its update 1.12 big whoop what about it  (Read 6761726 times)

is it just me or are the SoI episodes becoming less and less entertaining?
i think you are just losing interest because of the gaps in between

plus it does feel like they are just trying to wrap things up with it.

have you guys seen the mod hack slash mine?
it turns the game into a dungeon crawling rpg sort of thing. It's in the technic launcher now.

in the beginning it was more interesting, now it's kind of just boring. it's like the writing is more shallow.

Hey guys I have Technic and Tekkit and stuff and how the forget do I do this hgsdf.

What I would recommend is building a house like you normally would, but try to build it near a Millenaire village so you can trade with them and don't get lonely. If there are mountains near the village then try to make your home in them so the mondays don't fill your home in while they're building something. It would also be optimal to have an oil geyser in viewing distance but that isn't very important, it will just help out with the fueling of your machines later on.

So after you've settled down, the best way to mine would be a 16x16 quarry so you can get a ton of stone as well as a forgetton of ores used by the mods in whatever pack you're using. Unfortunately you're only going to be using the BuildCraft and IndustrialCraft stuff after you've gotten a large quantity of resources, so after you've hollowed out a shaft to bedrock you can get to work on making intricate machines, factories, farms, etc.

I really wish there was a way to take advantage of BuildCraft's machinery near the beginning of the game. Building machines to mine and craft stuff for you around the endgame kind of defeats the purpose for me. Regardless, the Technic Pack adds a lot of cool content.

No, im the same way.

I think its because nothing interesting happens.
Like in the newest SoI [Spoilers]
Knight_Peculiars death is so uncinematic. All he did was fall in lava, and you hardly got to see it.
I think they should just go back to the days when they did Survival.

they didn't do survival, they did a few episodes and boom, soi.

wtf is the voxel modpack

it looks like 4 texture packs that i dont understand at all

This mod is awesome

Then I found a pit of brown dirt which turned out to be quicksand :c

There was no escaping its mighty grasps

I found this pretty nifty biome

Snake hssss

A pirate ship hiding behind a little island

and most recently: the mountain biome

That looks more like a plateau biome.

I've been really wanting to play This since I saw it a few days ago. I might end up making a thread but I basically need 12 people to play this. It's a really good hunger games map but much bigger. If you want to play it next weekend just add me on steam.

Azurite played on that map for their Hunger Games livestream.

I saw.

Isn't it just beautiful? I was in awe when I saw my first autumn forest or whatever the official name is

If you start breaking quicksand very quickly after you start sinking you can escape it

Oddly enough I already did all of this nearly exactly, even the oil geyser. :P
Except I kind of raided a Testificate village and just stole all their buildings. A Millenaire village is on the horizon though. lol

Also if anyone could ever host a Tekkit server and show me how to do stuff that'd be cool. :c
