I've never played a game where ctrl is for crouching
ctrl is a better option for sprinting, and crouch should be shift

Anyone who suggests that crouch be hard wired to ctrl is an idiot. The best plan would be to have fully costomizable controls including double tap and ctrl/fn/opt/cmd+ options.

no one is suggesting anything be 'hard wired' to anything. people are suggesting the default control scheme(that thing you can change!) be changed. it can be changed it doesn't matter what it is. everything could be unbound and it would still work.

Sprint is still hard wired to W2 and all the special things like screenshot and character view are hardwired to the function keys. IMO that is an issue.

noone is suggesting that. thats a present problem yes but noone is saying to make anything hardwired to a key.
