One of the first things I made in Minecraft was an automatic cobblestone generator using pulsing pistons. It was on this world map where we had to build to planets. The only difference is in Tekkit we can make it automatically mine and store it.

he built a machine out of k'nex and legos that controls his keyboard and mouse so it mines the cobblestone 2,240 times before turning 90 degrees, placing it all in a chest, and repeating

Well then the bloody login servers are down or your internet connection has a problem specifically with Minecraft's login server.

blockland, while less stable on mac than minecraft, does not suffer from being insanely unoptomized to the point of forcing a ping in offline single player.
