I just had an Idea for an enchantment: Reach.

Reach Levels 1-5. each Level adds another block to the reach of the enchanted item.



Now that is a good idea. You should tweet it to a dev, seems like something I'd add to Minecraft if I was working on it.

lighting glitches, lighting glitches are fixed once you go near them, not sure about you but that's good enough for me. for now anyway.

sure the maps and frames are nice, but really, they do need to work on the game. This shouldn't be a game where a reasonable computer can drop to 2 fps because it needs to render 18 thousand blocks.
this issue is really exaggerated, since a lot of decent non-gaming computers can run at 20-30 fps, my desktop and laptop as an example. it's not the best speed in the world but if you're not too finicky about your FPS it's definitely manageable.

i agree that it should be higher, but for the time being i'll just deal with the way things are. as a builder, i find new decorative features pretty cool, but i can see that we don't necessarily see eye-to-eye, and that's okay.

Anything added in 1.3.2?
usually updates that only update a decimal decimal in version numbers (0.0.1) aren't all too important - pretty sure this is just a bugfix update.

the lighting glitch forgets up landscapes and there is usually more than one in a stony outcropping. updating all of them is a bitch.

my laptop runs minecraft at 30-70, the issue is the fact that your game can go down to literally 0 fps because your computer is forced to load blocks that you'll never see.

Dinnerbone already started the lighting system is broken and needs to be rewritten. AKA they will get to completely rewriting the lighting system to not be bullstuff. Last I heard, they were trying to fix those bugs, but lighting in an expensive process and you'd be trading off fixed lighting for much more processing to automatically fix it. Again, why they will likely be rewriting the lighting system.

actually yeah, you are seeing all of those blocks, because of how trees textures are transparent and you can see blocks through them. and even on fast graphics you can see all of the other trees' leaves above the current ones.

even with advanced openGL enabled, it makes sense when you think about it.

if you're lagging underground, advanced openGL usually helps.

Yep, it's true. I had it enabled on my old PC, greatly boosted framerate.

it also causes tons of graphical issues and again, it doesn't make your CPU work any less.

for me it only happens once every month, if that. my computer isn't overheating or anything either so there's no problem there.
