Doubletoast, but I have a couple questions about some things not related to gameplay, just me being an oldcigarette and remembering the early days.


You know, every downgrader we have can take us to any alpha or beta version there is, along with v 0.30 or whatever it is (Survival Mode Test). Why aren't there any in(f)dev ones?

Second, why were Indev, Infdev and Survival Mode Test taken off the Minecraft website? I would love to play all of those again...


Man, that was an interesting time. The Secret Friday Updates, laggy as forget big trees in infdev, when Minecraft was only Notch developing the game...

hey guys im  playing tekkit and I'm trying to set up an obsidian pipe for overflow but hooking an engine up to the obsidian doesn't seem to be extending its range as its supposed to.
am I doing something wrong?

Insertion Pipes or RedPower Tubes.

Just use a transponder/filter with a timer. Doesn't rely on engines to heat up for speed, and can do entire stacks of items at once. My entire workshop thingy relies on transponders.

Pneumatic tubes are nearly as fast as gold transport pipes too, and cheaper to make (2 bronze, 1 glass).

II found I just had the pipe angled the wrong way, I didn't realize the open end had to be pointed towards the general area I wanted to pick stuff up from and I had it pointed down at the floor

Funfact: Making diamonds with UU-matter is a terrible idea. Using 7 UU-matter to make glowstone blocks is ~4,000 EMC more.

9 Matter = 1 Diamond = 8,192 EMC = 910.2' EMC/Matter
7 Matter = 8 Glowstone = 8 * 1536 EMC = 12,288 = 1755.43 EMC/Matter

Almost double the EMC/matter :D

i remember you told me that the problem was that i was trying to look for fun in minecraft when we said that some servers had mods we didn't like.
