Author Topic: /follow [player name]  (Read 790 times)

Pretty simple.
just a /command
/follow [username of person in-game]
And your player will follow them, Simple as that.

I like this!  Mebbe someone can use the same "follow" script in the copy mod for this.

Eh, I thought it'd be easy to make, and a little helpfull perhaps?

Yes fantastic this would alow people to just sit back when someone wants to take them somewhere, there would have to be some specifications though so that your player doesnt drift too far behind then get stuck on a corner like in some games...

Then there's going to be the one idiot who doesn't disable this in a TDM.

"Where's the enemy?"
"Hold on..." /follow Enemy
"... oh they're through this wall somewhere!..."
"Yup..."

...Actually, that's not a big problem.
good idea.

Sounds abusive. You know there will be that guy who constantly follows players just to piss them off.

You also have to keep in mind jetting. Im not a scripter, but to me this sounds quite complicated.

It could be, seeing as players are not AI, but maybe we could set the camera to orbit the "player" and then have that bot follow the player. I might make this for Survival Rp, with restrictions of course.

If this didn't disable the player's ability to shoot this could be used as an aimbot in a deathmatch.

Perhaps it can be set, With RTB maybe?

Maybe?

I could make a raycast box that finds someone when you type /follow and it uses the follow script from greekbots.

Problem is, a player is not AI therefore, it is not programmable to walk to people.

I think

If someone made this, people would make a script that forces people do do things.
Not cool.

Yeah, i would not want to go onto a server and have someone use a script to make me kill people, and therefore appear as a prat.
