this god person you speak of, is pretty intolerant for such a compassionate person to all of humanity.

how do people base their life's values on him?

Angry God v. Loving God.

People need someone to tell them what to do. You can see this in the countless, "help me with my girl issues", topics posted on these forums.

It's funny how Satan has a vastly lower killcount that benevolent god.

My favorite yuki quote from now on. :D

the kool kids klub hated gays, and were Catholics, and also against civil rights.

you should give em a call

The kool kids klub has a record of using terrorism,[2] violence, and lynching to intimidate, murder, and oppress African Americans, Jews and other minorities and to intimidate and oppose Roman Catholics and labor unions.
I can prove a lot more than you with either science or history. You quote the Bible.
Explain what I'm quoting.  Again though, I'm talking about preferences.  I don't believe there are any sciences that are to the point where they can explain preferences.  Believe me, I prefer hard scientific evidence over religious explainations but what I'm talking about isn't simply explainable as far as I can think of at the moment.

...intolerance rarely has anything that the majority considers positive....

/facepalm

Nothing, which is working. You are just using an opinion (Which I guess works, since you aren't talking about the science-y parts of this thread), but you are still trying to justify that it is ok to be intolerant.

Wedge posted many pages of evidence 2 pages back. . .

the kool kids klub still have a better track record then god lol.
god is the most hateful person that ever existed.

I'm not saying intolerance is right and I'm not saying that my views aren't a danger to gay rights.  I'm aware that intolerance rarely has anything that the majority considers positive.  You saying that I can't affect their rights is like you affecting my rights by saying I can't do that.  Besides, my "hatred" goes only so far as causing me to avoid them.  So I'm quite certain that I am not invading anyone's rights.
I was saying in general that intolerance leads to that.

Also, with this example:
Quote
You saying that I can't affect their rights is like you affecting my rights by saying I can't do that.
I would be actively defending someones rights, while you would be actively attacking someones rights. The difference is I would be trying to stop what you started.

And I was about to respond your second paragraph, but I read your edit.

I don't believe it because it's a 15 page report. I never said I did. I coincidently mentioned that it was a 15 page report. I believed it because it was written by medical and psychological experts.

Instead of nitpicking through my text, I'd like to see you respond to this:

I don't believe a report because it has a large number of pages. I believe 751 reports because they are 751 reports by lots of different authors from many different positions in life and political views.

Sure, there are a lot more doctors out in the world that 751. Come back when you find 752 who tell you biloveuality doesn't exist.

I was saying in general that intolerance leads to that.

Also, with this example:I would be actively defending someones rights, while you would be actively attacking someones rights. The difference is I would be trying to stop what you started.
No matter what you do, there are both good and bad consequences.  You can't simply defend someone else's rights without invading another persons.

I believed it because it was written by medical and psychological experts.
But remember: Some redneck with an uneducated opinion is, in-fact, smarter than a medical expert.

This is true, but it comes down to how people see it.  Back in the 1800's they wanted to wipe out the kool kids klub, but they violated many of their first amendment rights. Some thing its right to do this, while others think its wrong.

Thread derailment report!

Argument with a family man
Then To religion
Then To Satan
Then To God

the goal isn't to make everyone happy. Its to make everyone as equal as possible.
among the many people's opinions out there that are a threat to equality, religious people have got to be the worst.

But remember: Some redneck with an uneducated opinion is, in-fact, smarter than a medical expert.
I get the idea that you are attacking me...

An example of why it universal equality is a bad idea.  Although, this is assuming that you are going for "everyone is exactly equal."  But equal rights are quite impossible until all laws and parts of culture that define any race are wiped
