Author Topic: Argument with a family man  (Read 20957 times)

It all starts here...

In this society where being gay is shunned upon (and for good reason), how do you expect a child to be raised by gay parents? The answer is: poorly. Stephen Nock, scholar of marriage at the University of Virginia, writes that every study on the subject of gay parenting "contained at least one fatal flaw," and "not a single one was conducted according to generally accepted standards of scientific research." Well well well, God did create Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve, didn't he? Other studies show that children raised by homoloveuals were more dissatisfied with their own gender, had homoloveual experiences more frequently, and suffered a greater rate of molestation by members of their families (Adolescence, 1996; Archives of loveual Behavior, 1986; American Sociological Review, 2001). So why the hell should we allow gays to be parents? So we can nurture more forgeted up children and create a vicious cycle of dissatisfied gay members of society? I'd hate to be around for that.

When a gay parent adopts a child, the gay parent influences gay opinion on the child. The cycle never stops.

EDIT: I am not Christian, I am Aeithiest.

What the hell is your problem.

I swear to loving god if I see one more thing saying being gay is genetic...

Being a homoloveual is a choice. If it isn't a choice, what about them dudes who get turned into heteroloveual by women they hang out with assuming they do? My sister has two male friends who used to be gay. For forgets sake, a heteroloveual could decide to become gay, as for I have chosen to become bi (and no I'm not saying this for the sake of the argument, I am so) and it just pisses me the forget off. It's happened three times with me this week and I'm angry about it because I have friends who are homoloveual or bi.

EDIT: Also, your first post (at Frogg, like the other half of my post) says he should burn in hell for it. That's another thing that gets my goat: moral beliefs, mostly according to religions. Christianity says if your a homoloveual you will burn in hell, but I seriously think you should love who you want to love and forget who you want to forget.

You're wrong.
Recent medical research indicates that exposure to higher than usual levels of oestrogen or testosterone in the womb in the early stages of pregnancy is a good indicator of loveual orientation. This is an explosive finding, as it indicates that nature (or God, if you will) is responsible for homoloveuality, and that it is therefore natural, and not the result of "the perverted desires of sick and ungodly individuals" (as many bigotted and religious individuals can and do insist loudly and repetitively).
